Lean Luo, PhD

I am currently a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Language Processing Lab at the University of Chicago (PI: Ming Xiang). Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Morgan Computational Psycholinguistics Lab at UC Davis, working with Emily Morgan. I received my PhD from Tsinghua University in June 2025, advised by Xiaolu Yang.

I am interested in how linguistic patterns and meanings are learned and represented across systems with different computational resources (e.g., infants, adults, and large language models), and what they reveal about the fundamental principles underlying linguistic variation, learning, and use.
